Highlifter Gravity Water Pump — 9:1
Our high-lift Highlifter — designed to move water hundreds of feet uphill using water power alone. No electricity, fuel, solar panels, or batteries required.
The Highlifter 9:1 is designed for installations requiring greater lift or where the available fall between the water source and pump is limited.
With sufficient input pressure, a properly installed 9:1 Highlifter can pump water to elevations approaching 900 feet above the water source, while delivering useful quantities of water around the clock. Depending on the available fall, lift, and source flow, a Highlifter can deliver hundreds of gallons per day to remote storage tanks, homes, livestock systems, gardens, and other locations where conventional pumping may be difficult or impractical.
A Highlifter uses the natural pressure created by falling water to pump a portion of that water uphill. Once installed, it can operate continuously, 24 hours a day, without electricity or fuel.
Highlifter Pumps are designed to be durable, serviceable, and rebuildable. Many Highlifters have been operating in the field for decades, and replacement wear parts and rebuild services remain available from Highlifter Pump Co.
Which Highlifter Do I Need?
The 9:1 Highlifter is generally the better choice for high-lift installations — particularly when your storage tank is several hundred feet above your water source.
It can also be the right pump for lower lifts when available fall is limited. Because every site has a different combination of fall, lift, available flow, and piping, choosing between the 4.5:1 and 9:1 models isn't based on tank elevation alone.
A Highlifter requires adequate elevation drop between the water source and the pump to create operating pressure. As a general rule, we recommend at least 30 feet of fall and approximately 15 PSI of input pressure for a good installation.

The long-awaited stainless steel tubing used to manufacture our main pump barrels has arrived at the Highlifter shop, and we are now machining and assembling the next production run.
After a lengthy raw-material delay, it feels pretty good to be making new Highlifters again.
We expect to have new 9:1 pumps available very soon. Pumps from this production run will be released as they are completed and tested.
