Highlifter Gravity Water Pump — 4.5:1
Move water uphill using water power alone — no electricity, fuel, solar panels, or batteries required.
The Highlifter 4.5:1 is our standard gravity-powered water pump for installations where the storage tank or point of use is less than approximately 400 feet above the water source.
A Highlifter uses the natural pressure created by falling water to pump a portion of that water uphill. With sufficient fall and water supply, it can operate continuously, 24 hours a day, delivering water to remote tanks, homes, livestock systems, gardens, and other locations where conventional electric pumping may be difficult or impractical.
Highlifter Pumps are designed to be durable, serviceable, and rebuildable. Pumps that have been operating in the field for decades can still be repaired with replacement wear parts available from Highlifter Pump Co.
Which Highlifter Do I Need?
Choose the 4.5:1 Highlifter when your required lift is less than approximately 400 feet above your water source.
A Highlifter requires adequate elevation drop between the water source and the pump to create operating pressure. As a general rule, we recommend at least 30 feet of fall and approximately 15 PSI of input pressure for a good installation.

The long-awaited stainless steel tubing used to manufacture our main pump barrels has arrived at the Highlifter shop, and we are now machining and assembling the next production run.
After a lengthy raw-material delay, it feels pretty good to be making new Highlifters again.
We expect to have new 4.5:1 pumps available very soon. Pumps from this production run will be released as they are completed and tested.
